Hand-colored engravings, from Antiquités Etrusques, Grecques et Romaines from Lord Hamilton’s folio (1766-1776). Hamilton’s collection of ancient vases was assembled by him after his appointment to the court of Naples in 1764, was first illustrated, described, and published between 1776 and 1777.
The frames are 24K gold leaf with fillet around the corners. The artworks are floating along the raw edge in the smaller frame.
