18th century country French Buffet in Stripped Oak is a testament to the rural artisans who produced amazing works of cabinetry using what today would be considered primitive tools. Taking advantage of the abundant old-growth oak in the region, they used solid planks from top to bottom, even hand-hewn solid planks for the back panels! Tailored molding creates visual interest throughout the design, including four raised panels on each side, and arched panels on each door. Hand-forged steel key guards and barrel hinges ensure centuries of daily carefree use. Doors and drawers open to reveal cavernous storage, which combined with the generous serving & display surface make this instant family heirloom as functional as it is pleasing to behold!.
