Sturdily resting on its carved bun feet, this antique wooden cabinet was made in 19th-century France. Its deux corps structure is gracefully divided by a set of drawers, creating a distinction between the spacious upper compartment with panel doors and the nearly identical lower section. The gently distressed patina, with its soft ivory hue, accentuates the understated details, including metal rhombus locks and key pieces. At the same time, the molded cornice elevates the chest’s appearance, giving it a neo-classical touch.
