A charming country cupboard with the original faux-bois, tooled & grained painted finish. Underlying wood is pine but this wonderful cabinet was spared being stripped and waxed in the 90’s. Lap joint and mortise and tenon construction with wooden pegs used to fasten the wood together. Upper and lower cabinets have original shelves, top shelf is removable, bottom shelf is mortised in. Possibly French but most likely German, circa 1830.
