The border of each plate features beautifully rendered gilded floral motifs, spiraling around the edge in dynamic undulating scroll form curls from which grow winding stems and flowers also in gold paint with a textural rise and exquisite detail, truly breathtaking. The center of each plate has a unique hand-painted scene with a variety of creatures in their watery environment populated with coral and rock formations in a variety of subtle hues that balance the gold detailing and create a unique experience across each piece of this set. Signed A. Holland on the front surface with a serial number and the Minton Maker’s Mark on the verso.
