Rare brutalist chairs Model 3.Kp made in oak from the 1950s.
Brutalism, modern architectural style since the 50s, originally a combination of various architectural concepts, such as the French term béton brut “exposed concrete” made of smooth/natural wood formwork boards, with which Le Corbusier represented visible concrete at the Unité d’Habitation in Marseille.
Reyner Banham coined the term New Brutalism, originally an architecture that had the idealized claim to be authentic in terms of materials and construction and ethical in the social aspects of architecture – form follows function.
