Decorate a library or study with this artisan-made “dual function” folding step ladder and coffee table. Crafted in Southern England circa 1920, the metamorphic table features a leather top decorated with embossed gilt accents; the double-function piece is hinged with brass hinges so that it can convert into a ladder with four stairs (maximum height of 28.25″). Each step is dressed with an embossed leather top embellished with gilt accents. The antique ladder table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. A piece of ingenious English design, this versatile and practical antique ladder is functional as a chair, bench, or as a library ladder.
