Mater – Latin for mother- is a curved rattan seat handcrafted by Valencian artisans and inspired in the 70’s. Mater is born out of caring love and tenderness; It´s a compelling mix of craftmanship and fantasy, inspired by the overwhelming and recomforting power of mother nature. It echoes the sensual, naked, and organic shapes of raw nature. Its curved shapes and smooth finishings merge the strength of the rattan rods with the softness of the upholstered structure. Mater´s essence transforms spaces.
