19th c. continental urn converted to a table lamp with gilt and polychrome enamel on porcelain, a painted wood base and a brass stem and socket. Despite having a chip to the stem of the vase. this lamp had great presence. It depicts beautifully dressed male and female Grecian figures on a pale sage green background. The gilded upper portion of the lamp is ringed with subtly painted acanthus leaves. Boreas, the North Wind, is depicted in a pair of medallions in relief on opposite sides of the urn.

Condition:
Good/Fair, approx. 1″ chip to stem of vase, spots of gilding loss. Images remain crisp and the overall look of the lamp is lovely.
