Pair of French 19th century plantation armchairs circa 1890.
Good quality pair of french colonial plantation inspired lounging chairs, made in beech and very much in the arts and crafts taste.
Typical wide seat and splayed thick arm rests. Back rest is adjustable to 3 different levels of recline, which is held in place by a brass rod, which is likely to be a replacement. Supplied with french made mon matelas seat cushion.
Frames have just been completely restored and strengthened. New back cushions would need to be made, and seat cushions to be re-covered. Minor surface marks to woodwork. Staining to seat cushion.
