The magnificent front of this midcentury era wall clock is entirely hand carved out of solid wood. It is difficult to see in a photo, but even the dial face is perfectly carved and a rare sight to see. The large jar on top is held in place by two roman figures and because of the shape we think the jar is either for keeping olive oil or wine. The perfect condition floral motifs surrounding the dial face too are a wonderful sight to see and this clock has a beautiful patina. This work of time telling art comes with a good quality 8 day movement/mechanism that also strikes on time perfectly.
