A very nice late 18th century blacksmith handwrought iron game rack with a center ring with six hooks supported by three arms. Game racks are used to hang small game meat such as fowl, rabbits, etc to dry after a hunt. They were also used to dry herbs. This piece has lovely details and clean lines, making it perfect to use in today’s kitchen as a pot rack, utensil holder, or to hold baskets.
