18th Century or earlier, rustic French country portal door frame for garden wall entrance. Stones are hand-carved in grey stone for a country farm house.
A stone mason should be able to make this work. the portal is rough but will definitely add charm and interest to that special garden.
Photos were taken with the portal on the ground. The 1st main photo is the front of the portal, the 2nd photo is how the portal looks on the backside.
Portal opening: 78″ h x 29″ w.
Right side: 30″ + 33′ + 15″ = 80″
Left side: 30″ + 37″ + 13″ = 80″
Top piece: 39″ w at the top /40″ w at the bottom/ 11″ h x 6″d
Left side slightly taller than right. Stone mason will be able to put more on one side into the ground to even out.
