Property prie-dieu armchair in the spirit of Charles X in solid mahogany.
Its entire frame is sculpted and molded and benefits from a mechanism that tilts the backrest to give the armchair a prie-dieu position.
The seat, back and hand rest are covered in red leather in very good condition, studded around the edges.
It rests on 2 X-shaped legs in the ‘Curule’ spirit, molded and sculpted with a round medallion in the center and an acanthus leaf at each end.
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
