English wrought iron four arm chandelier with entwining grape vines, leaves and grapes. The original painted patination remains – green with gold highlights to the grape motifs. It has been electrified in the past but for the past several decades it has been used only with candles. It could be rewired if desired (not by us). Does not include ceiling boss, circa 1900-1920.

Condition:FairAdditions or alterations made to the original: The paint is original and as such has some flaking. At some point in its life it had been wired, but it had been returned to candle power sometime in the last 40 years and we have left it with candles only. It could be rewired for electricity. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. This chandelier is structurally very sound, but the paint is original and as such has flaking off of paint in places. Overall it looks nicely worn. It has been used with candles for several decades; at some point in the past it was electrified.
