Vintage Design
The Airport 037 chair impresses with its idiosyncratic and absolutely timeless design. This chair is in very good condition. The black original faux leather is in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. The chrome frame shows the usual patina of its age. Due to the lines of the armrests, the chair is also known as a Bullhorn chair.
Hans Kaufeld founded his factory in Bielefeld in 1918 and focused on producing the highest quality furniture in an attractive design. In the 1960s, Kaufeld also supplied the Chancellery with its armchairs. The Airport 037 was designed by the English designer Geoffrey Harcourt for Kaufeld in the 1960s. Harcourt is known for several Space Age icons.
