Large, American, coin silver (.900) cake saw/knife, New York, circa 1870, wood and Hughes – makers. Bead pattern. Lovely etched work. Center of knife is etched, showing two people fishing, in a boat, with birds flying overhead; floral work on blade. Measures 12 inches long x 1 1/2 inches wide at widest point x 1 inch high when lying flat on a table. Weighs 2.990 Troy ounces. Dark spots in photos are reflections. Excellent condition.
