About Florence Baroque
During the Renaissance, Tuscany was at the center of an unprecedented artistic fervor. Artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli created works of art that are still considered among the most important in the history of humanity today. This passion for aesthetics was also reflected in the interior design.
Tuscan baroque furnishings are characterized by elegant lines and balanced proportions. The furniture was made of fine woods such as walnut or cherry and often inlaid with geometric or floral motifs. The chairs had high backs decorated with elaborate carvings, while the tables featured slender legs and carved details.
