Vintage Paris Art “Arlequin” 86/150t Pierre Jacquot Signed Lithograph and Authenticity Limited Edition

This colored lithograph, with original frame titled “Arlequin,” is part of the “Commedia Dell’Arte” series by French artist Pierre-Henri Jacquot. It is numbered 86/150 for the artist’s proof, signed “Jacquot” in the lower right, and retains its original framing. Certificate of authenticity. Purchased in the 1980’s Second owner.

Born in 1929 in Nancy, Pierre Jacquot’s art is characterized by a haunting edge of strangeness, capturing a sense of looking into or from a parallel dimension. Jacquot was chosen to illustrate the ambiguous prophecies of Nostradamus, creating original lithographs that blend symbols from astrology and tarot with human figures and curious onlooking animals. These lithographs stand out as some of Pierre Jacquot’s most original and enigmatic works. The artist, who was part of the group Les Graveurs Lorrains, passed away in October 2009 in Grenade-sur-Garonne in the South-West of France.
